Summer Film Camp
Description
Join the Frist Art Museum and the Nashville Film Festival for a fast-paced Film Camp where teens will collaborate with new friends and learn from experienced industry professionals to create a short film, from concept to completion, all in one week!
Working in small production teams, you’ll develop a concept, script, shot list, and production plan. After that, you’ll learn how to perform several production and/or acting roles, shoot a 5-minute short film using professional gear provided by Contrast Cine, and craft a polished edit.
Finally, after a fun-packed week of hard work, the films will premiere during the Teens Take the Frist! event at the Frist Art Museum on Saturday, July 18, 2026!
Who: All rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students
Where: Frist Art Museum, 919 Broadway, Downtown Nashville
When: July 13–17, 2026, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Class size: 20 students (minimum 10 students)
Cost:
$50 application fee
Frist Art Museum and Nashville Film Festival members: $475
Non-members: $525
